I
first travelled to Morocco in 2005 on the only bike
I owned: A clapped out Honda Transalp. Nice on the road,
but totally unsuited for the dirt or sand. There's a
trip report and some photos for this trip.
Having learnt the hard way, I went back twice in 2007,
with friends, all on 400cc thumpers. A much better choice.
Here are still images and lots of videos from both trips.
The Moroccan Sahara is mainly hamada (flat rocky nothingness),
cliffs and gorges and a fair bit of sand. There are
also the Atlas mountains. I really liked the Berber
people in the desert. Super friendly and helpful.
Don't forget you can watch all movies in full screen.
